The Evolution of Bokkens

We have crafted an evolution of the bokken, constructing it from three layers to ensure the sword remains perfectly straight—a breakthrough that hasn’t been done before. Each piece of wood is individually handpicked, enhancing the artistic essence of each creation. The handle’s end is hand-carved, adding a unique personal touch to every bokken. The wood is also meticulously finished to prevent moisture absorption, ensuring that changes in humidity do not affect its structure or performance.
Peppe Jarmala Artisan woodworker
“I am an artisan woodworker with 25 years of experience, drawing profound inspiration from the serene beauty of nature. Each piece I create reflects the intricate patterns and timeless elegance of wood, embodying my deep connection to the natural world and commitment to craftsmanship. My inventive nature and keen observations allow me to blend ideas, resulting in unique innovations.

I am deeply curious and enthusiastic about the world, constantly exploring the rich heritage of Japanese culture and the samurai, merging it with Western pop culture and high-tech elements to create modern, innovative bokkens." - Petteri Jarmala
